I watched that scene where he has conversation with Masuda's character at the bar several times because his voice sounds so nice and soothing and persuasive in thay scene, if I was Masuda, I'd have confessed then and there.įukase did a good job too.
Playing a well-dressed decent moral detective suits him really well. I like it when he plays these clean-looking intelligent characters. if I didn't know better, I'd guess he'd often play maniacal characters. I think he has a wild look about him though. I noticed Masuda seem to often play quiet loner types but he just plays it so well so I'm not surprised that he did another home run on this one. It was a stupid decision that cost so many innocent lives but he actually didn't seem smart and was more simple-minded who's just really talented and passionate about drawing manga so I guess that could explain it. he could've revealed it and still go on to draw him but I thought maybe the public wouldn't support a manga where the cool-looking main villain is literally based off on a real-life family killer so perhaps he kept it secret so he could gain popularity and cash-in from a supposed "original" and "fictional" character. I was wondering at first why mangaka Masuda didn't tell anyone he saw the killer's face.
